520 new COVID-19 cases have been identified in the country. A further 81 people have died of coronavirus-related complications.
The majority of the new cases are from KwaZulu-Natal with 100, followed by Western Cape with 89 new cases.
Gauteng recorded 74 new infections, while the Northern Cape reported 71. Close to 32,000 tests were conducted in the past 24 hours with a 1.6-percent positivity rate.
