Ex-Big Brother contestant Gugu Bonga, aka Terry Treasure, has taken the TV space by storm as the host of MTV Base’s Baddies After Dark.

The groundbreaking show is set to let viewers engage with their favourite baddies and get answers to burning questions, from dating advice to securing that coveted bae allowance.

“Baddies After Dark sheds light on the ladies that are popping right now on social media and us finding out what makes a baddy, their dreams, and what it is that they actually do besides posting content on social media,” she told the publication.

Terry might not have won the R2m cash prize for her stint on Big Brother Mzansi, but as a baddy herself, she has found many ways to secure the bag.

“I consider myself a baddy because, throughout all these years of trying to hustle and come up in the industry, I have been resilient and hardworking. Being a baddy is a different element to being a woman as well, it’s not necessarily about having your as* out all the time. You can be sexy and confident but, at the same time, you are willing to do what it takes to get to where you want to go.

“I made quite a big bag on Only Fans when I came out of the Big Brother house and that helped me start up my businesses and be able to self-fund my podcast. I started my skincare business and it’s been able to fund a lot of the stuff that I am doing right now like my juice company.”

Life after Big Brother has presented her with many opportunities, and Terry says there is still more she has to offer.

“Music is not my main thing but I think it will always be part of my journey because that’s how I started off, as a rapper, and I feel like it will always come and go with me. I always go with what is more financially beneficial. Music for me is more of a passion project.

“Acting is something that I got roped into but it’s something that I am definitely starting to enjoy now. I have found my voice and my tone for being in front of the camera. I feature on Entangled season 2 and will also appear in a film set to launch in February 2024.”
