Well-known Mzansi media personality Dineo Ranaka will get up close and personal with celebrities on her upcoming show, Sip & Talk, which will debut on Mzansi Magic in November 2023.
She told the publication she is excited about the new show.
“Truly, it’s been a hard one to keep under wraps. The show promises intimate and genuine conversations, served with a side of sincerity,” she said.
She said the show will get fans to see a different side to celebs.
“I believe it will be one that has viewers experiencing their faves differently, vulnerably and sentimentally,” she said.
Dineo said the show is about humanizing the human experience.
“I think most of the time we tend to glamourize people in the limelight so much that we easily forget that they too are human and are trying their best to find their feet through life.”
The show will cover topics from public grief and marriage endings to addiction recovery and even the complexities of fame.
“Sip & Talk will shed light on the human struggles our favourite celebrities have endured in the public eye,” read the statement.
Asked whether she would also share her own stories and experiences or if she’ll just be the host, she said: “A little bit of both. No topic is off the table.”
Dineo will host her industry peers for each heart-warming episode and her unfiltered nature, combined with the well-curated selection of guests means no topic is off the table.
Fans can expect conversations with celebrities including Simphiwe Ngema, Kayise Ngqula, and Ayanda Ncwane discussing public grief, as well as TK Sebothoma, Reason, and Nozuko Ncayiyane Ntshangase discussing the pursuit of mental wellness.
