Former Skeem Saam actress and model is reported to have forked out almost half a million in spousal support to her ex-husband.
This is according to Sunday World, who said the actress – who cannot be named – issued divorce summons against her husband last year after a few years of marriage.
According to the publications, the actress had to pay R360 000 in spousal maintenance and R120 000 for her ex-lover’s furniture.
The former couple, who have no children together, made the agreement last year.
“In terms of cause 3 of the settlement agreement, the plaintiff agreed to pay the defendant a once-off spousal maintenance sum of R360 000 towards his accommodation.
“In terms of clause 4, the plaintiff agreed to pay the defendant the sum of R120000, towards his furniture and household necessities.
“The plaintiff has already complied with clause 3 and 4 of the divorce settlement agreement and made a total payment of R480000 to the defendant,” read the papers.
Mabu Marweshe of Marweshe Attorneys, confirmed he acted on behalf of the former Skeem Saam actress in the matter, but said he cannot comment.
Social media users have been trying to figure out who the actress in question is. According to a number of X users, it is Amanda du-Pont who played the character of Lelo on Skeem Saam.
In January this year, TshisaLIVE reported that the actress and her ex Shawn Rodriques finalised their divorce after three years of marriage.
