Tshepisong residents extend search for 3-year-old boy to dangerous plot! Angry community members from Tshepisong, in Roodepoort, are frustrated with the police’s inaction in finding lost Mojalefa Savhuli.

The three-year-old was last seen in the local playground before he went missing on Sunday.

Community members say they have been searching for the child since Monday, but have yet to find him.

In the smouldering heat on Wednesday, residents of Tshepisong took it upon themselves to search for the boy in the Ebumnandini.

Many of them said they were disappointed with the little help from the police.

With posters of the missing three-year-old in their hands and whistles directing their search, they continued into their third day of looking for the little boy.

A member of the community, Asonwabile Adam, says they are left with no choice but to go into the dangerous parts of the location to find the child.

“There is plot that is dangerous, you can find dead bodies, stolen cars and such. So we decided to go there as the community, as we have been waiting for the police since 08:00. We feel that the police are very useless.”

Residents have expressed that all they want is to find the little boy so that they can rest at night.

FAMILY ACCUSES POLICE OF BEING UNPROFESSIONAL

The family of the missing boy is complaining that it hasn’t received any communication from the police regarding their case.

His uncle, Solomon Savhuli, said they reported the matter to police on the same day he went missing.

He accused the officers handling their case at the Roodepoort Police Station of unprofessional conduct.

“She was making jokes about it, calling people and organising dates for herself. And I think the jarring thing about it, we asked, so are you going to provide a van to come with us and conduct the search, or are you going to give us a number of the investigating officer? And she said, ‘No, we’ll call you’.”
