Mom of teenage girl assaulted by peers doesn’t want out-of-court settlement! The mother of a 14-year-old girl assaulted by her peers says she doesn’t want an out-of-court settlement.
Instead, she says she wants to see the court process finalised.
Seven girls aged between 14 and 17 were arrested on Monday after video footage of the violent attack went viral.

They made their second court appearance on Wednesday.
Soon after the attack, the child’s mother says police encouraged her to speak to the accused’s parents.
She did this, but remained determined to see justice prevail.
“We ended up speaking to all parents. I said every parent should give me R3,000. They said they could only do R1,000 on the 28th of May. I then went to the police station.”
The mother says her daughter was lured by one of her friends to the house, where the attack occurred.
She says her child, who has since returned to school, has suffered emotionally and physically.
The accused teenagers, who cannot be named because they’re underage, will return to court next week.
