Soshanguve learners set for exams after disruptions caused by some locals! Exams are set to continue on Thursday at Soshanguve Secondary School, east of Pretoria, following class disruptions caused by some community members.
According to the Gauteng Department of Education, several residents in the area forced learners to take to the streets and protest against an incident of corporal punishment.

Earlier this week, a few learners from the school were allegedly disciplined by some community members for arriving late to school.
The residents not only attacked the students but also overpowered the security personnel.
Education spokesperson Steve Mabona said, “We understand that these community members who wanted to discipline children for coming late, and we just don’t understand how that can happen. So we will be monitoring the situation very closely, you know. We’ve reached out to community safety to make sure that there’s monitoring of the school”
