The prosecution has previously been criticised by lawyers of the accused and the Magistrate for dragging its feet, almost 2 years since Malusi Booi’s office was raided on corruption suspicions.
It’s also been a year and a half since Ralph Stanfield and Nicole Johnson, who are also linked to the case, were arrested.
At previous appearances, the prosecution had indicated that it’s still not ready to go to trial.
The state indicated to the court that it still needed to analyse more than 100 bank statements and to download documents from several devices.
The state is set to indicate if it’s ready to take the case to trial or not.
