Chweneyagae died last week due to natural causes after having sudden respiratory challenges.
Scores of Mahikeng residents filled the Mmabatho Convention Centre where his first memorial was held.
Speaking on behalf of his wife, sister-in-law Bianca Carmicheal said Chweneyagae was more than what the cameras captured.
“He was a protector, a husband who loved deeply, a father who was gentle and proud, a brother-in-law who made us laugh and made us think. He was always present even in his busiest moments, never forgetting his roots or those who stood by him.”
