Joburg MMC for Public Safety, Mgcini Tshwaku, has revealed that police have uncovered a crucial lead in the case of the murdered 14-year-old, Likhona Fose.
The teen’s mutilated body was found not far from her home in Durban Deep, west of Johannesburg, a day after she went missing over the weekend.
Justice for Likhona Fose
Tshwaku was speaking at the teen’s memorial service on Thursday afternoon at Nkone Maruping Primary School in Braamfiscverville, in the south of Johannesburg.
Fose’s family, friends, and community members are gathered this afternoon to honour her life.
MMC Tshwaku says a tactical unit has been roped in to find the perpetrators.
“We need to ensure that a tactical unit is here, and it must go and find the person who killed uLikhona. That is what I’m standing here to commit. We said we don’t sleep, 24 hours we go and get the bastards.”
