However, some of the schools, like the Thandulwazi Senior Primary School in KwaMashu, were damaged in the 2022 floods and have still not been repaired.
Premier Thamsanqa Ntuli said it’s still unclear when the schools will be repaired.
“It is not easy to say they will be fixing all the schools before the third term because of money – we need money.”
