Murdered Sindiso Magaqa’s family hopes upcoming trial will uncover more details! The family of slain African National Congress (ANC) politician Sindiso Magaqa hopes that his upcoming murder trial will reveal more details about his brutal killing.
On Thursday, Sibonelo Myeza and Mbulelo Mpofana, who stand accused of the 2017 murder, were served new indictments in the Pietermaritzburg High Court and will be tried in October.

With one of the accused, Mlungisi Ncalane, pleading guilty and cooperating with the State, the Magaqa family says it hopes the trial will proceed with no delays.
Sindiso’s cousin, Lwazi Magaqa, said, “We are hoping that since the dates have been set up, we are hoping that the matter will come to closure.”
He added that the victim’s mother is also anticipating the start of the trial.
“Sindiso’s mother is rather relieved because there are some developments, she’s old we’ve got to consider that she is old, and this perturbs her a lot.”
