RIP: Aserie Ndlovu remembered as a dedicated champion of the people! Journalist Aserie Ndlovu has been remembered as a dedicated champion of the people.
Deputy minister in the presidency, Kenny Morolong, paid tribute to Ndlovu at his funeral service saying he was a passionate media entrepreneur committed to uplifting young journalists.
Ndlovu and his partner, Zodwa Mdhluli, were reported missing in February, their remains were found in Limpopo last month.
Aserie Ndlovu remembered
Morolong said Ndlovu had a long history of working with government communications structures.
“Aseri also formed part of a youth movement engagement hosted by GCIS a few years ago with communication interns from the public service to share his knowledge of how one can start up a media company and contribute to the journalism fraternity through entrepreneurship,” said Morolong.
Morolong added that Ndlovu was unwavering about his passion for developing future journalists and media entrepreneurs.
“As government particularly the government communications sector, we feel cheated by his death, robbed of one of our own a member of the fourth estate, which is a pillar of our democracy tasked with speaking truth to power.” said Morolong.
