Scheduled power outage in several Tshwane suburbs for work on transmission line! Tshwane residents are being warned about Sunday’s scheduled power outage from 09:00 to 13:00.
The City of Tshwane is carrying out refurbishment and repair work at the Wapadrand and Mooikloof substations.
Power outage
The planned interruption is part of a transmission line project aimed at strengthening and stabilising the electricity supply to both residential and industrial areas in the city’s eastern grid.
Areas expected to be affected by the outage include Mooikloof, Garsfontein, Lombard, and Faerie Glen.
“During this period of interruption, the city’s team of technicians will connect the newly constructed line to the old transmission line, install bridge pieces, and test switching performance,” said City of Tshwane spokesperson Lindela Mashigo.
