Suspect arrested in connection to Gugulethu mass shooting set to appear in court! A suspect arrested in connection with the murder of seven men in Gugulethu is set to appear in the Athlone Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
Police are still searching for Loyiso Matinisi, who is believed to be linked to Saturday’s shooting.

Matinisi was not initially considered a suspect; however, police said they would still like to interrogate him.
Speaking to Africa Melane on the Early Breakfast Show, police spokesperson Andre Traut confirmed that they will be directing all their resources to solving the string of murder cases that occurred last week.
“Without community assistance, those are the eyes and the ears of the police. Every time we reach out to the community and our appeal is, don’t harbour these criminals. If you know of someone that is committing crime, come to us, report it to us.”
