The drama began when TikTok user @certified_thimna posted a video expressing her disappointment after receiving a wig from Cyan Boujee’s giveaway. The wig, which appeared worn out and unwashed, quickly drew ridicule online. The video went viral, sparking a wave of criticism against the influencer, with many calling the giveaway “disrespectful.”
Cyan’s Side of the Story
In response, Cyan Boujee explained that the error stemmed from her team and not from any personal negligence. She said she had entrusted her personal assistant and brother to manage the giveaway logistics, including sorting and washing more than 15 wigs.
“Cyan does not do things on her own,” she said.
“Unfortunately, the wrong one got to the clout-seeking one.”
She emphasized that the error wasn’t malicious and claimed the situation was blown out of proportion by someone seeking social media attention.
