Manhunt for suspects who were unlawfully digging graves! Police in Limpopo are searching for a group of suspects who were found digging out graves at the Mavhunga Village cemetery.

It’s understood that a woman received a phone call from a community member, alerting her about a group of people who were busy digging out graves at the cemetery.

On arrival at the graveyard, it’s understood she found a grave dug out with pieces from a coffin next to the hole.

Police spokesperson, Malesela Ledwaba, said a case of violation of graves was being investigated.

SAPS vows action

The police were informed and upon arrival at the cemetery, they discovered that a grave was indeed dug out and pieces of the coffin broken. The provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo – Lt General Thembi Hadebe, has expressed her shock of what happened at the graveyard. Then she further instructed the detectives to make use of the available resources to track and trace the suspects.”
