Lolitha Kowa murder: Hundreds of community members and activists from Khayelitsha have filled the magistrates court corridor ahead of the appearance of two suspects linked to the murder of a seven-year-old child.
Lolitha Kowa’s body was discovered at a dumping site in Kuyasa, Khayelitsha, on Wednesday.
She had been reported missing on Tuesday night by her mother after she didn’t come back home from playing with a friend.

The mother of the friend the little girl had visited, and the mother’s boyfriend have been arrested for the murder.
There is a large police presence in and out of the courthouse in Khayelitsha, where the couple accused of being involved in Lolitha Kowa’s murder is expected to appear on Friday.
Information has also emerged that the little girl was allegedly raped before her life was taken.
Police said a sniffer dog led investigators to an address in Sindwadwa Street, Kuyasa, on Wednesday, where the child was last seen.

Activists gathered at the court are calling on the magistrate to deny the suspects from receiving bail.
