Tiffany Meek to remain in custody
On Tuesday, the Roodepoort Magistrate’s Court handed down its judgment denying Meek bail, stating that she had, among other reasons, been dishonest with the court.
The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA)’s spokesperson Phindi Mjondondwane said the case was postponed for further investigation.
“The case will be back in court on the 17th of September 2025. We’ve requested the postponement, as the State, to conclude the investigation. So we are hoping that much of the outstanding statements that the IO (investigating officer) talked about during the bail application stage would have been collected, so that we can then move forward.”
