Nomzamo Mbatha denies link to Deputy President Paul Mashatile’s controversial mansion! Actress and humanitarian Nomzamo Mbatha found herself facing unexpected controversy after an old photo of her resurfaced online, sparking rumours about her possible connection to Deputy President Paul Mashatile’s luxurious mansion in Constantia, Cape Town.
Viral Photo Sparks Speculation
Social media erupted on Tuesday when a user shared a photo of Mbatha at an upscale property, claiming the setting resembled Mashatile’s R28.9 million Constantia estate.
Nomzamo Mbatha denies
The image, originally posted by Mbatha on Instagram, was compared side-by-side with photos of the mansion, fuelling speculation that she may have visited the controversial residence.
Nomzamo Sets the Record Straight
Mbatha quickly responded to the online frenzy with a humorous and firm rebuttal. She commented, “Ok, I would like to credit and acknowledge @Airbnb. 😭 Shuthi, sorry,” clarifying that the property in question was an Airbnb she had rented during December 2020 to January 2021.

To further dispel the claims, Mbatha provided receipts confirming her stay was unrelated to Mashatile or his family. The mansion, now under investigation by the Hawks, is registered under the company of Mashatile’s son-in-law, Nceba Nonkwelo.
Controversies Continue to Surround Mbatha
This incident adds to recent drama surrounding the Shaka iLembe star. Just last week, singer Simphiwe Dana accused Mbatha of appropriating her signature hairstyle without giving credit.
Additionally, Nomzamo made headlines earlier this month after her sister, Wendy Mbatha, was accused of undermining fellow celebrity Londie London during a podcast interview.
Despite the swirling controversies, Nomzamo remains unfazed, choosing to address each issue with grace and clarity.
