Cold weather conditions have resulted in showers in Gauteng and Mpumalanga, with hail reported in parts of Limpopo.

There’s a hailstorm on the N1 between Polokwane and Mokopane. Two accidents have already occurred on the N1 south. The first one at Ysterberg, Mokopane, where three vehicles were involved in a sideswipe accident. The vehicles are a patrol tanker, a light delivery vehicle and a BMW sedan. Another accident occurred at Caltex next to the Range Resort, involving a head-on collision between a heavy motor vehicle and a light delivery vehicle,” said department spokesperson Tidimalo Chuene.
