National Dialogue organisers aiming to speak to 10 million South Africans by end of process! Organisers of the National Dialogue are aiming to speak to about ten million South Africans by the end of the process.
On Friday, the convention to the National Dialogue kicked off at the University of South Africa (UNISA)’s main campus in Pretoria.

Various public and private sector leaders are in attendance to chart a way forward for how the dialogues will be conducted throughout the country over the next months.
Dialogue convenor, Lerai Rakoditsoe, said that at the end of the dialogue, the government, citizens, and organisations would enter into a social pact.
“We plan on having conversations with 10 million South Africans throughout the process of the National Dialogue. This is about turning conversations into community action plans and sector compacts. We are going to be ending with a people’s compact in June 2026.”
