Gauteng Transport MEC Kedibone Diale-Tlabela has advised e-hailing operators to report challenges to the transport operating licensing laboratories to fast-track assistance.
Diale-Tlabela addressed a group of protesting operators at the provincial department’s offices on Tuesday.

She has reiterated that drivers needed to get permits in order to be formally recognised as public transport service providers in the province.
The MEC said they could only assist drivers on the ground once they were aware of their grievances.
“Only 19 people, 13 people today, it opened on Monday. I’m here to say, department, help me, I’m an operator. I have this and that challenges, they are stipulated there. So, we want you to come forward; we want to help you.”
