Amapiano sensation LeeMcKrazy, real name Linda Mnisi, recently survived a shocking hijack attempt outside Cosmopolitan nightclub in Maboneng, Johannesburg, shortly after performing.
The 22-year-old was in a parked vehicle with three others when five unknown men attacked, leaving him briefly hospitalised.
Details of the Incident
According to a close friend who spoke to Buzz Life News, the night began positively after LeeMcKrazy delivered an energetic set.
However, things quickly turned dark when one group member exited the car to return to the venue. That’s when the assailants struck, pepper-spraying the occupants and allegedly pouring an acidic substance on LeeMcKrazy.

“They pepper-sprayed everyone and poured some type of acid on Leemckrazy,” the friend revealed. The artist was rushed to the hospital with eye irritation, and doctors warned that delayed treatment could have led to serious injury.
Attackers Flee Upon Recognition
In a surprising twist, the attackers reportedly fled the scene upon realising LeeMcKrazy’s identity. “When they recognised it was him, they ran off,” the source claimed, suggesting the hit may not have been premeditated.
Recovery and Back to Work
Despite the trauma, LeeMcKrazy is back on his feet. He’s currently touring in Poland with fellow artist Scotts Maphuma and assured fans via Instagram, “I’m working, all is good.” No police case has been opened yet, but his team confirmed he’s taking things slow and is simply grateful to be alive.
