Come Through by H.E.R. and Chris Brown Reaches No. 1 on Billboard Adult R&B Airplay Chart

H.E.R. has achieved the first number-one single of 2022 on the Billboard Adult R&B Airplay chart, as her Chris Brown-assisted track “Come Through” moves from 3-1.

The newest addition to her list of leaders on this airplay-driven chart becomes the Oscar and Grammy winner’s fifth for collaboration and seventh overall.Grammy

H.E.R. topped the Adult R&B Airplay chart twice in 2021. She first had success with living legend Toni Braxton for the torch song “Gotta Move On.” It stayed atop the chart for two weeks that winter.

In June 2021, H.E.R. claimed her second hit single on this list as a lone artist for the platinum tune “Damage.” The Grammy-nominated track had an eight-week run at the summit.

H.E.R. ranks the third woman with the most number-one singles at Adult R&B Airplay. Braxton is in second place behind the chart’s current ruler among women and men, Alicia Keys, who has 12.

“Come Through” is taken from H.E.R.’s gold-selling debut album Back of My Mind. The set, named one of Rated R&B’s Best R&B Albums of 2021, is nominated for Album of the Year and Best R&B Album at the 2022 Grammys.

Up for six more 2022 awards, including Best R&B Performance (“Damage”) and Best Song Written For Visual Media (“Fight For You”), H.E.R. has a career total of 21 nominations.

Other awards could be in H.E.R.’s future. “Automatic Woman,” from the Bruised soundtrack, is shortlisted for Best Original Song at the 2022 Oscars.
