“Ten years of wondering how I got so lucky to be your mom,” Zinhle wrote, expressing awe at the joy and purpose Kairo has brought into her life. “I’ve never truly felt deserving of such a beautiful gift – but that’s the thing about God’s favour… it can’t be explained.”
Remembering AKA
Kairo is the daughter of Zinhle and the late South African rapper AKA (Kiernan Forbes), whose absence is still deeply felt by the family. DJ Zinhle shared that she and her husband Bongani (Mörda) often talk about how they wish AKA were still alive to witness their daughter grow.
