4 suspects killed in shootout with police in Randfontein! Four suspected criminals have been killed in a shootout with police in Randfontein on the West Rand.
Police said the men were intercepted by officers while they were allegedly planning the robbery of a businessman who was on his way to deposit money.

Deputy Provincial Commissioner Fred Kekana said the suspects opened fire on the officers who tried to stop their vehicle.
“The police wanted to stop them – they wanted them to surrender and hand over the firearm, and they arrest them for possession of those firearms and other crimes, but then by them challenging the police, the police had no choice but to defend themselves and the property. At the end the last men and women standing are the police. Four of the suspects are lying dead. Good.”
