Man’s charred remains discovered at Katlehong informal settlement! The charred remains of a man have been discovered under burnt metal rubble at the Katlehong North informal settlement, in Ekurhuleni.

The metro’s Emergency Management Services (EMS) were notified of the body by community members after the structure was dismantled on Wednesday morning.

It’s understood that a fire broke out in the informal settlement on Tuesday night.

According to preliminary reports, the death may be linked to a mob justice attack.

Ekurhuleni EMS spokesperson, William Ntladi, said the identity of the patient has to be withheld for safety reasons.
