The reason behind Sol Phenduka’s suspension on Kaya 959 revealed! Mzansi radio personality Sol Phenduka has shed light on why he was suspended from Kaya 969.
In the recent episode of Podcast and Chill, Sol said this had to do with his association with the podcast and their legal battle with Minnie Dlamini over unsavoury remarks made about her private parts on the platform when discussing her break-up with plastic surgeon Dr Brian Monaisa in early May.

“A lot of people are assuming I did something. I did nothing. This happened this morning and I was spirited because they said don’t say anything. I’m suspended for seven days,” he said. “It’s about the court case with Minnie. It’s an old story but when the case happened, they came through.”
Sol said while he was told not to make mention of his suspension, he was shocked to see a statement issued by the station.
“Kaya 959 confirms that presenter Sol Phenduka has been placed on suspension with immediate effect. This step has been taken pending the outcome of an internal process currently under way. The station is committed to following due process, and no further details will be shared at this stage.
“Updates will be provided once the internal process has been concluded and a final decision has been reached. Kaya 959 appreciates the understanding of its staff, listeners, and stakeholders while this matter is being addressed.”
