RIP: DJ Poizen’s memorial & funeral details announced! Family shares funeral and memorial service details of the late DJ.
DJ Poizen, whose real name was Caven Masetla, will have two memorial services for his fans in Gauteng and Limpopo.
The Gauteng memorial will be held at Centurion Shisanyama in Centurion, Tshwane on 11 September, while the Limpopo memorial will be held at Napscom Hall in Ramalema on 12 September.

The funeral service will also be held at Napscom Hall on 13 September, while the DJ will be laid to rest at Ga-Malesa Cemetery.
DJ Poizen, known for his popular DJ mixes on YouTube and songs such as Give Me The Night, passed away on 30 August following a car accident.
His family confirmed his death in a statement: “It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Caven Masetla Moshoane, widely known as DJ Poizen, who tragically lost his life in a car accident on Saturday, 30 August.
“DJ Poizen was more than just a talented artist. He was a loving father, a devoted partner and the undisputed King of Bassline. His infectious laugh and warm smile touched the hearts of everyone he met.”
DJ Poizen was travelling with fellow musician Chymamusique when he was involved in the accident occurred. Chymamusique was hospitalised.
The accident was announced by the Limpopo Department of Transport and Community Safety on 30 August.
“A horrific accident, which occurred in the early hours along the N1 Ysterberg Mountain, Polokwane Municipality, Capricorn District, claimed the lives of five passengers.
“Two sedans collided head-on, which resulted in the loss of five lives and two injuries. Of the five who passed on, four were burnt beyond recognition, and the two injured, which include a driver and a passenger, were taken to a nearby hospital,” read the statement.
