Popular South African actress and media personality, Nomzamo Mbatha made her debut at the Met Gala, and did it with pride, purpose, and unmistakable South African style.
The actress and humanitarian took to Instagram to share a glimpse of her special night, calling it “a taste of my first Met Gala.”

Representing the African Fashion International (AFI), Nomzamo attended the globally watched fashion event under this year’s theme “The Garden of Time.”
Draped in a stunning custom piece by MmusoMaxwell, Nomzamo credited the designer duo for delivering on short notice with their signature craftsmanship and attention to detail.
“Cannot put into words the deep gratitude of this experience… to have been present and corresponding for @afi_sa during such a poignant theme is nothing short of divine alignment,” she wrote.
She closed off her post with appreciation: “MmusoMaxwell have shown their incredible craftsmanship over the years… we made it to the Met! We remain thankful.”
