ANC in Gauteng urges law enforcement to act firmly against graft-accused govt officials! The African National Congress (ANC) in Gauteng has called on law enforcement to take firm action against government officials implicated in corruption, following claims that some may be linked to criminal syndicates.
This is in response to allegations by KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi, who alleges there’s a drug cartel operating in Gauteng involving politicians and members of the judiciary.

The claims have sparked panic, with growing calls for law enforcement in the province to intensify its efforts.
ANC Gauteng co-convenor Hope Papo said if there is evidence, those implicated must be held accountable.
“At a principled level, whatever is coming out, there must be action by the police because it cannot be the intelligence community that acts – it must be the police.”
