The case of missing journalist Aserie Ndlovu and his partner, Zodwa Mdhluli, has been marred with further delays after court proceedings were postponed yet again on Monday.
Ndlovu and Mdhluli were last seen in Mamelodi, east of Pretoria, in February.
To date, police have arrested five suspects and are searching for two more who are believed to have played a role or may have information on the matter.
What initially seemed like a promising development in the missing couple’s case devolved into a painful waiting game, further compounding the anguish for their families.

On Monday, two suspects in this case, Samuel Mogongwe and Lucky Sikhosana, appeared at the Kwamhlanga Magistrates Court.
Following a lengthy delay for the court’s media recording ruling, the proceedings were postponed once more until next Monday.
The families expressed frustration as they also wait for DNA results to be released.
Remains, suspected to belong to the missing couple, were found by police last week in a heavily wooded area of Rust de Winter in Limpopo.

Mdhluli’s aunt, Florence Manana, said the uncertainty was difficult.
“We were planning to have, if it’s then, maybe the memorial service and then the funeral, so that we’ll be able to move on.”
She added that she was hopeful there would be progress next week.
