Ex-Uzalo actress Sphelele Mzimela is now a farmer! Former Uzalo and Isibaya actress ventures into farming.
Multi-talented actress and presenter Sphelele Mzimela from Gingindlovu, KZN south coast, said, although she’s now a farmer, acting will always be her first love.
Sphelele, who made her name playing Mazaza on Uzalo, promises that this year she might return to the small screen after a five-year absence.

She told the publication that she’s currently focusing on her poultry farm called Abanguni Chicken farm located in her village of Gingindlovu.
Her farming business focuses on growing and selling chickens and eggs to locals.
Sphelele, who is a former Inanda FM presenter, said farming is a good business because food is expensive due to lack of production on farms.
“Now you can see that eggs are too expensive because there are few farmers who are producing them while the eggs are on demand.
“It has been over five years now since our farm started and it’s doing well. We sell chickens and eggs, and we also started selling cows,” said Sphelele, who played the character of Kentucky on Isibaya.
Sphelele said she loves farming because it’s a lucrative business, and many people aren’t aware of that.
“But the besides money I love farming. We also offer good quality chickens and good quality eggs at reasonable prices because we know that they’re pricey at supermarkets.
“Yes, for now I’m focused on farming, but TV will always be my first love and I’ll definitely be back on TV. At this stage, I will not reveal much. Just stay tuned in,” she said.
She presented the afternoon drive show on Inanda FM alongside Siya Seme in 2024.
