Amapiano vocalist Boohle found herself at the centre of social media controversy after alleged WhatsApp conversations involving her manager and an event promoter went viral online.

According to the circulating messages, the promoter was attempting to book Boohle for a performance in Muldersdrift scheduled for September 2026. What began as a routine enquiry reportedly became tense after the promoter allegedly struggled to receive clear and timely responses regarding the booking.

In the screenshots, the promoter allegedly questioned why the booking fee had increased from an earlier quoted amount of R30,000 to R80,000. As frustration grew, the promoter eventually appeared to withdraw interest in the booking altogether.
