Mzansi is blaming Kaizer Chiefs and media personality, Minnie Dlamini for Itumeleng Khune’s reported suspension from the football club.
Farpost reported on Saturday, 25 November that long-serving Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper, Itumeleng Khune is reportedly facing suspension and demotion for an alleged misconduct.
The captain and goalkeeper, who’s been with the club since the age of 12 was recently caught arriving for training allegedly under the influence of alcohol.
Khune’s alleged suspension comes after TimesLIVE reported in June that he’s extended his stay at the club by one year before retiring as a professional football player.
He will venture into coaching and an ambassadorial role with the marketing department next season to continue his long and deep-rooted ties with the club, adds the publication.
Kaizer Chiefs supporters are blaming the club for his suspension, while some are blaming his ex-girlfriend Minnie Dlamini, who reportedly shaded him on national TV.
While a soccer fan @MthabineJustice revealed he doesn’t blame Khune: ” “If I was playing for a losing team, I would also drink on duty.”
