Correctional Services Minister Pieter Groenewald has reiterated that raids and unannounced visits to prisons countrywide will increase sharply.

This follows a recent stabbing incident at the Pollsmoor Correctional Centre in Cape Town which led to a two-week lockdown of the facility.
