Tshwane Mayor Nasiphi Moya said she believes the city’s governing coalition remains steady as her administration bands together to lure potential funders.
Moya’s assurance to investors comes ahead of the city’s inaugural investment summit set to take place in September.

Tshwane is eyeing a whopping R5 billion worth of new deals, investments, and partnership agreements before the end of 2025 – more than 300% of 2024’s target.
Some of the city’s massive but underperforming assets will be leveraged in the investment drive, including the Wonderboom Airport, the Fresh Produce Market, and the Rooiwal power station.
Despite concerns of renewed tensions between the African National Congress (ANC) and ActionSA over the Tshwane city manager, Johann Mettler, Moya said her house was in order.
“The residents of this city have been abused for the past 8 years, and we can’t contribute to that. We have provided stability in the past 8 months. We have not had issues in this coalition, and we remain committed to the promises we have made to the residents of Tshwane. In terms of the stability and coalition, I don’t think that’s something the residents or businesses should be worried about until elections, second to that, I can’t guarantee that.”
