Vuyo Zungula removed as ATM president to focus on party’s work in Parliament! The African Transformation Movement (ATM) has announced that Vuyo Zungula will no longer serve as its president, following a decision for him to focus on parliamentary work.
Zungula has been replaced by Professor Ceaser Nongqunga, who also serves as the chief apostle of the Twelve Apostles Church in Christ.
The ATM’s national executive committee believes Zungula needs to focus on the party’s work in Parliament, while Nongqunga directs his attention to growing the party’s footprint.

The ATM has decided that Zungula will now focus mainly on the party’s work in Parliament.
Despite the party holding only two seats in the previous Parliament, Zungula played a pivotal role in pushing for accountability from President Cyril Ramaphosa over the Phala Phala scandal.
Professor Nongqunga has been appointed to take over leadership responsibilities, with a primary focus on driving the party’s growth.
The party says separating Zungula’s parliamentary duties from organisational leadership is a necessary step.
