Auditor-General Tsakani Maluleke has called for transparency in the handling of public funds at state institutions.
Maluleke said it’s important for leaders in public service to uphold the rule of law.

She has been addressing the high-level political dialogue on the review of the 1998 white paper on local government in Midrand on Monday.
The paper is under review to measure its impact, address ongoing challenges, and align municipalities with South Africa’s current realities.
Maluleke said transparent leadership will help improve the relationship between residents and the government.
