Convicted serial killer and former police officer Rosemary Ndlovu has been found guilty in another criminal case, this time linked to an alleged murder-for-hire plot involving a multimillion-rand insurance payout.

Ndlovu appeared before the Kempton Park Regional Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, 20 May 2026, alongside co-accused Nomsa Mudau, where judgment was delivered after an extended trial process.

The court found both women guilty of conspiracy to commit murder and incitement to commit murder in relation to an alleged 2018 plot targeting Mudau’s former husband, Justice Mudau. According to testimony presented during the proceedings, the alleged plan was driven by the intention to benefit from a life insurance policy valued at approximately R3 million.

Evidence before the court suggested that around R150,000 was allegedly set aside to pay hitmen to carry out the killing. However, the plot reportedly collapsed before any attack could take place after one of the individuals approached to execute the murder warned the intended victim, leading to the scheme being exposed.

Throughout the trial, both accused maintained their plea of not guilty. Despite this, the court ruled that the evidence presented was sufficient to secure convictions on both counts.

The case adds another chapter to Ndlovu’s already extensive criminal history. She is currently serving multiple life sentences after being previously convicted for orchestrating the murders of six family members and relatives in a series of insurance-related killings.

The latest conviction will now proceed to sentencing at a later date, where the court will determine further penalties in relation to the new charges.

The case has once again drawn national attention due to the scale of the allegations and Ndlovu’s continued involvement in insurance-linked murder conspiracies.
