Western Cape commissioner reveals cops hot on heels of Muizenberg’s alleged gunman! Western Cape Police Commissioner Thembisile Patekile said they’re hot on the heels of gunmen allegedly behind recent deadly shootings in Muizenberg.
At least seven people were killed in multiple mass shootings in the area last week.

Four men were shot and killed in Overcome Heights last Wednesday, and three people, including 2 women, were shot dead in Xakabantu informal settlement on Saturday.
Overcome Heights, Vrygrond, Steenberg, Lavender Hill, Seawinds, and Xakabantu are on police lockdown following an increase in gang violence in recent weeks.
Provincial Police Commissioner Thembisile Patekile said men and women in blue will remain in the areas until the situation stabilises.
Patekile has told reporters they’ve established that the violence is a result of infighting within one gang in the area.
“We’re looking for people that are key, who can assist us as persons of interest at this stage, we’re not going to mention their names; some of them have just been released from jails for other cases.”
