This comes after the South African Weather Service (SAWS) issued a yellow level 3 warning on Thursday for Gauteng, Limpopo, and Mpumalanga.
Ekurhuleni emergency services spokesperson William Ntladi said residents should use these safety tips: “Residents are warned to stay away from the wet rainy conditions. If forced by circumstances, dress appropriately to avoid getting wet and cold.
“Make sure that you keep the children warmly dressed. If there is a heat energy source that you are going to use at home, let a responsible person be with the children.”
